Sourdough Bread in Tampa

At Tico's Bakery we bake real sourdough bread, the way it has always been made: no commercial yeast, just flour, water, salt and our living starter. Slow, natural fermentation of more than 24 hours — good bread cannot be rushed.

Sourdough loaves and a baguette baked fresh daily at our Tampa bakery

Slow-fermented, with time and patience

Our sourdough bread starts from a living starter that we feed every single day. That long ferment gives it a crackling crust, an open crumb and a flavour with character, slightly tangy and unmistakable.

On top of tasting better, it is easier to digest: the natural ferment breaks down the starches and gluten for you. No chemicals, no shortcuts — just fresh dough and the traditional method.

Out of the oven fresh every morning at our bakery in Ybor City, Tampa. Perfect for breakfast with a freshly brewed coffee, alongside a good meal, or to take home a loaf that keeps well and tastes like real bread.
